The mission of the Ogle-Lee Fire Protection District is to minimize loss of life, Property and the environment from fires, natural disasters, life threatening situations, and to assist other emergency agencies.
The Ogle-Lee Fire Protection District was founded in 1973 and covers 135 sq. miles surrounding the City of Rochelle. The OLFPD is comprised of four separate stations in each of the following villages. The Village of Steward in Lee Co. IL, The Villages of Flagg Center, Creston, and Hillcrest, all in Ogle Co. IL. The District Chief is currently Dave Sawlsville who is also the fire chief of Rochelle. Each of the four stations have an Area Chief as well as Assistant Chiefs. Members are trained to the first responder level or higher. ALS ambulance mutual aid is provided by the Rochelle Fire Department automatically for all medical calls.
